Risinger Endorses Murphy for Lt. Governor

PEORIA – State Senator Dale Risinger announced today that he is endorsing State Senator Matt Murphy for Lt. Governor.
“There is no doubt in my mind that Matt Murphy is the right person to lead our Lieutenant Governor’s Office,” said Risinger. “Matt’s ability to transcend partisan politics and focus his efforts on lowering taxes for Illinois families makes him a perfect fit for that office.”
Murphy has also been endorsed by House Republican Leader Tom Cross, State Senators Brad Burzynski, John Millner, Tim Bivins, Dave Syverson, and Pam Althoff, State Representatives Suzanne Bassi, Franco
Coladipietro, Michael Connelly, Sid Mathias, Bob Pritchard, Randy Ramey, Dennis Reboletti, Sandra Pihos and Ed Sullivan, Jr., Dave Winters, and Downers Grove Mayor Ron Sandack.
“I gladly accept Senator Risinger’s endorsement and am happy he’s excited about our campaign to lower government spending and reduce the tax burden on Illinois families,” said Murphy.
Senator Murphy is running as a teammate of family businessman Andy McKenna, who is running for Governor.
Matt is a member of the Illinois General Assembly representing the 27th Senatorial District, a graduate of The John Marshall Law School and practices law in Chicago.
He and his wife Julie have four children and live in Palatine.
